These Funds Will Directly Support Black Students

The Black Achievement Scholarship is intended to support the academic success of Black graduating seniors within the Beaverton School District. The scholarship honors the enduring legacy of achievement and creativity from those who have come before us. From Katherine Johnson to Benjamin Banneker, and the thousands of other scientists, artists, teachers, lawyers, and movement makers, Black people have persevered through racial injustice to achieve excellence and positive change for our communities and nation. We believe in the potential that our youth have to be the next generation of change agents - to make this world a better, safer, stronger, and more beautiful place to be.

Every year BBPU awards over ten scholarships to promising high school graduates to support their college tuition costs. To date, we've provided

over $67,000 in scholarships and monetary prizes to Black students in the Beaverton area. Help us add to this fund and support the class of 2025!

The scholarship recipients will be announced at the BBPU Beaverton Black Graduate Ceremony in June 2025.
